Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

Petovi keeps your pet's care in one place and shares it with people you trust. To do that, the app stores some personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have — in plain language.

Who we are

Petovi is made by Codeck Core SRL, a company registered in Brașov, Romania. For the data described in this policy, Codeck Core SRL is the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect

Account data. When you create an account we store your name and email address. You can sign up with an email address and password, with Google Sign-In, or with Sign in with Apple. If you use Apple's Hide My Email option, we receive the private relay address Apple creates instead of your personal one.

Pet profiles. The details you add about your pets: name, species, breed, birth date, weight, microchip number, and photos.

Health records. The care events you log: vet visits, vaccinations, dewormings, and medications.

Sharing data. When you share a pet, we store who you invited and the role you gave them, so the right people see the right things.

How we use your data

We use your data for one thing: running Petovi. That means creating and signing in to your account, storing your pets' profiles and health records, keeping them in sync across devices, and sharing them with the people you invite.

Our legal basis for this is the contract we have with you — we need this data to provide the service you signed up for. Where we rely on your consent instead, we ask for it explicitly, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Where your data is stored

Petovi runs on Firebase, a platform operated by Google LLC. We use Firebase Authentication for sign-in, Cloud Firestore for pet profiles and health records, and Cloud Storage for photos. Google processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.

Because Petovi runs on Google's infrastructure, your data may be processed outside your own country. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires for international transfers, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where they apply.

Who can see your data

Only the people you invite. Sharing is the point of Petovi, but it is always your choice: someone can see a pet's profile and records only if you invite them to that pet, and only with the role you give them. You can remove a member at any time in the app.

Nobody else. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no ads in the app.

How long we keep your data

Until you delete it. If you remove a record, a pet profile, or your whole account, the corresponding data is deleted. We do not keep your data once your account is gone.

Your rights

The GDPR gives you the right to ask for a copy of your data (access), to have it corrected (rectification), to have it deleted (erasure), and to receive it in a portable format (portability). Contact us using the details at the end of this page and we will help.

You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Romania, that is ANSPDCP — the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account directly in the app — no email or phone call needed. Deleting your account removes your account data and the data that belongs to it.

For the exact steps, see how to delete your Petovi account.

Children

Petovi is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
